The team at Hire-X are a passionate bunch of Australians from all walks of life, who have ended up coming together to create a system to help other people who hire things out.

Hire-X was created from our experience of looking for and creating an “e-commerce for hire” system for our hire business and all the learnings we had along the way. We own and operate our own successful equipment hire business and when we were starting up, we wanted a hire quoting/order/stock management system and integrated webshop to get the edge over our competitors. After many late nights and 3 failed attempts at “sticky taping together” a few off the shelf software packages, we couldn’t find one that would work as an end to end system and so we built our own!

Fast forward a few years and that system has evolved into Hire-X, so now anyone who is in the game of hiring equipment out can take their hire business online and grow their business.

Our own hire business ( was started in 2016 is growing strongly and we are on track to open our third branch in 2021. Having a fully integrated webshop, quoting, order processing and stock management system has enabled us to expand rapidly to meet our customer needs and we want to share what we have learnt so that other businesses can do the same.
